Within the African continent, we have unfortunately become accustomed to a public display of embarrassment in some government quarters, often referred to as “government empowerment.” This typically involves the handing out of archaic and substandard tools that can barely support a single household. Most of the time, we’re quick to jump on social media and criticize the government.

But this isn’t about the government.

It’s about us, as Pastors and Ministry Leaders.

How are we truly empowering our congregations?

Are we building a pastor-dependent church, a congregation reliant on “articles of faith,” or are we building people who are well-discipled, mature, and strong?

Are we simply handing out entertaining declarations day in and day out without adequately feeding the flock with “knowledge and understanding”?

Are we comfortable with baby Christians in our pews, or are we passionate about maturing the saints so they can each fulfill God’s plan and purpose for their lives?

When Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love Me?”—He quickly pointed Peter to the proof of that love: “Feed My sheep.” (John 21:17)

God’s heart is to give His people shepherds who will feed them with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15).

🔹 Don’t entertain the sheep—feed the sheep.

🔹 Don’t feed them junk—feed them the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 4:11 -16, Colossians 1:18).

Dear Timothy…

Equipping pastors. Empowering saints. Strengthening churches.

Be blessed.
