Timothy was to model Paul's teaching approach, methods and content in his ministry. ( 2 Tim 2:2).
It is okay and very okay to teach what you have heard someone teach in ministry.
In the day and age where everyone is getting "Rhema", we have succeeded in breeding very inaccurate and sometimes funny interpretation of scriptures.
Bulk of my doctrinal teaching materials come from my dad's work.
The disciples of Jesus were expected to teach exactly what Jesus have been teaching them.
In ministry especially in doctrine we don't contend for "Originality" or "the first man to teach it in this region". Truth is consistent.
Hear what Paul told Timothy
"You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others "2 Tim 2:2 NLT.
This is ministry and not entrepreneural start up where we are in competition and hiding trade secrets.
" But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you." 2 Tim 3:14
