LOYALTY IN MINISTRY – The Test of Loyalty (Part 1)

Loyalty is a big deal in ministry and a very big deal. You want to build God’s assignment on your life with those who are committed and loyal to you.

Having said that, loyalty cannot be tested until it has passed three basic tests. TIME – Time reveals a lot most people would be loyal for a short time, as time goes on when weakness, frailties, success, and offenses show up they would withdraw their loyalty TRIALS – Ministry is never a smooth sail, trials will come, sometimes it would even be the fault of the leader but the loyal person will stay and strengthen his leader, Paul said in his defense all men deserted him (2 Tim 4: 16 - The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them.).

TRIUMPH – Just as the time of trails reveals a lot about individuals around you, success also reveals a lot. Some ministry associates would only become disloyal after a period of triumph when potentials and possibilities are before them. (2 Tim 4: 10 - Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica).

As a ministry leader take time to pray consistently in the spirit for loyal men to be given to you by God.
