Every minister needs encouragement, sometimes the “human factor” comes to play and we are in moments of discouragement. One of the things that can help a young minister is encouragement from older ministers of the gospel or even their peers.
Here are a few ways we can encourage young ministers.
1. Send a text of encouragement every now and then, about the importance of their work and the importance of serving the Lord.
2. Ask about their family if they are married, or how they are doing. At this stage, it’s not about the church or ministry but how are they faring.
3. Sending financial support would be a big deal to them in the early stages. You may not be able to fathom what your pizza money would accomplish in the life of a young minister.
4. Buy books or help them with resource materials, you can buy and send to them or recommend books that would be helpful
5. Pray for them, verbally to their hearing and also in private intercession.
We all have a great role to play in encouraging those who are coming behind.
